Mission Statement

Our Mission, as educators at Mill Street School, is to create a center of learning
where all students:

• develop academically to their full potential in all subjects areas,

• become life long learners by accessing, evaluating, and applying information,

• think creatively, integrate information, and work cooperatively to solve real life problems,

• learn to make decisions that lead to honest behaviors, self reliance, productive citizenship, and respect for all people.

School Improvement Plan

Goal 1 - Students will continue to grow as independent readers and lifelong learners
by using and applying a variety of strategies to construct meaning, organize information,
and make connections from all forms of text to promote quality work.

Goal 2- Students will develop skills to understand, demonstrate, and explain authentic
and engaging math problems.

Goal 3 - Students will learn skills and strategies to improve their social development
and will apply these skills to ensure better decision making with interpersonal conflict
and work completion situations.
