The Speech and Language Pathologist is responsible for

exhibit communication difficulties. Affected areas may include:

Referrals for speech and language assessments may be made to the Speech/

Another important responsibility of the Speech /Language Pathologist is
to be a resource to both teachers and parents on speech and language issues
by providing materials to use within the classroom and at home.
Many parents have questions about the development of speech sounds.

In addition to the standard speech and language program at Beebe, three
District programs are presently housed at our school. These programs are:
- the multi-needs program,
- the Preschool Speech and Language Class, and
- the Preschool Speech and Language Program.
Respectively, Mr. Bahd, Mrs. Lutgen, Mrs. McClain and Mrs. Sullivan are
the speech pathologists for these programs.
The Preschool Speech and Language Class is a District program designed
for three and four year old children who are identified as having severe
speech and language needs. The class is team taught by the speech
pathologist and early childhood special education teacher.
The Preschool Speech and Language Program is a District early childhood
program provided to service children with speech and language delays,
primarily in the area of phonology.
