What's new with Mr. Mika?
Look it up here!
___Welcome to the fall 2004 revision of Mr. Mika’s Web Page! I have diligently been updating the resources and focus of the Web site. Keep an eye out for the This shows recently added sites! sign for new links or activities. I also spent time redesigning the overall look of the Web site. Here are a few of the new features to help both students and parents:

Mathematics Practice - To aid in the difficult memorization of multiplication and division facts, I have added several links to online math games.

What Defines a Region of the U.S.A.? - How can you understand and identify the parts of our nation if you haven’t been there? Through online experience and exploration, you can take trips to identify the many features that define a region.

Rudy the Red Blood Cell - Did you miss the mini-movie in class or want to see it again? Help Rudy the Red Blood Cell learn what his job is and reunite him with his family in this exciting WebQuest!

We cover a lot in fourth grade and sometimes you just need more practice. Other times you just want to know more about that topic.

Social Science

Science
We cover the scientific method, the circulatory system, rocks and minerals, and plants in fourth grade. Check here for links and activities to investigate these topics more!

Mathematics
While we will focus on multiplication, division, and geometry, there are other helpful sites for math enrichment here. Don’t forget the online games to help you practice your facts!

Miscellaneous
Are you taking a foreign language after school? Did you ever want to write your own music for band or orchestra? There may be several extra activities you do outside of school and you might find a few links to them here.
You can also find current events links here!
