Cameras
We used small digital video cameras with "firewire" connections to our video editors.  These cameras produce great images but are mainly dependent on built in microphones.  We now have added a new digital camera with two separate XLR microphone inputs.  We have added 2 wireless lapel mics, a table mic, handheld, and a shotgun mic to our inventory with this camera.  We have found that sound can be more challenging that images.

Video Editor
We are currently using an Applied Magic Screenplay unit.  This is a dedicated unit using non-linear digital editing software.  We chose this unit because almost none of the features require "rendering" time.  Other possible video editors that could be considered are I-Movie (Macintosh) Casablanca, Windows XP movie maker, or other video editing software that runs on PCs or Macs.

Output
Right now we are distributing our final products on a CD.  Videos are currently being saved in MPEG 1format and view with Windows media player.
