Welcome to the official Naperville Central High School Debate Team website!

The NCHS debate team competes in ICDA (Illinois Congressional Debate Association) approximately once a month. There are generally two meetings a week, one before school (Room 212) and one after (Room 208), both of which usually take place on Wednesdays. Changes in meeting dates will be posted not only in the news section, but will also (hopefully) be in Monday morning announcements. You are only obligated to attend one meeting per week; however, all mock tournaments will occur after school. Should you not be able to attend the meeting, nobody will kill you (at least not the first few times) but please inform one of the captains ahead of time. There is an activity fee required, usually between $40 and $50, which for normal tournaments covers transportation and occasionally meals, and for overnight tournaments will account for transportation, lodging, and meals.
