From January 3 to February 3, 2006, students from NCHS collected over 8,000 books for School Libraries in Free State, South Africa.  The book collection has been a resounding success!  Thanks to the hundreds of families who brought in a wide variety of books for these most needy of students!

On Wednesday, Feb. 22nd, five classes of students divided and packed books for eight specific schools.  We have:

  • 8,732 books in
  • 149 boxes weighing
  • 4,476 pounds

Shipping costs $1.00 per pound.
ALL the funds needed to ship these books have been contributed!
Many thanks to all who helped with this project!
