FIRST GRADERS will learn more about friendship from a guest from Edward Hospital.
SECOND GRADERS made "Winter Holiday" books to share with Edward Hospital. Each Second Grade Class made a book in which every child wrote about their favorite part of winter holiday. Some students wrote about sharing a cup of hot cocoa by the fire, sledding with friends, or spending time with their families. In an effort to lift the spirits of families with ill loved ones, these books are housed in waiting rooms on the oncology floor.
THIRD GRADERS studied the digestive system and nutrition. As a culminating activity, students made healthy meal placemats for the patients at Edward Hospital. They were delivered in January to the food service department. We hope to brighten up some patients' meals with our placemats. click here for photos
FIFTH GRADERS made snowman ornaments in December for the holiday trees in different children's units at Edward Hospital. Edwards Hospital will also be helping us with a project on our respiratory system unit in Health.
