April 25, 2008 Last Friday, we went on our field trip to the DuPage Children’s Museum. The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience of riding a bus, the free exploration of math materials, and the many engaging activities throughout the museum. We hope you will be able to use the complimentary adult admission coupon that your child brought home. This coupon will allow you and your child to attend for only the price of a child’s admission. This week we have focused on Earth Day and what we can do to take care of our environment. Ask your child about our Wiggleworks book, The Paper Bag Trail. Your child made a painted picture of the earth and wrote about an idea they could do to take care of our earth. Here are a few reminders about our activities in the upcoming weeks: Friday, May 2 – Ice Cream Social 6 – 8 pm Wednesday, May 7 – Mother’s Day Tea The times for the tea are 9:45 AM for the AM class and 1:30 for the PM class. When you come to the tea, you may find it helpful to walk or carpool because our parking lot is so full. Please do not park in front of the school. If possible, please arrange for babysitting for younger siblings so that this can be a special day for you and your kindergarten child. Also, feel free to send a grandparent, aunt, or a friend if you are unable to attend. Thursday, May 22 – Kindergarten Field Day More information will be sent home later.
