National Children's
Book Week was celebrated in November. We all know the importance of
reading. A library is a great source for individuals to find a book for
leisure reading or gaining information. We have been adding many new
titles for children in all grades thanks to your support of the book
fairs.
In November, our children voted for their favorite books. The favorite
book of kindergarten was The Cat in the Hat. First graders love
Curious George books, and second graders voted for the Junie
B. Jones series. Captain Underpants books are the favorite of
third graders. The fourth graders voted for Nightmare Mountain,
and fifth graders enjoy The Series of Unfortunate Events.
Overdue notices are coming home weekly. Please help us find books so
everyone can use them. Many books get misplaced in the classrooms,
hallways, backpacks, or at home. If a book accidentally gets returned to
the Naperville Public Library, it is usually returned within two weeks.
We are so grateful for the assistance from our libraries. If a public
library book is returned to our school, Miss McKissick returns it to the
Naper Boulevard branch that evening. If you have searched for the book
and still are unable to find it, please come to the library with a note
or call 420-6643.
Thanks for your help in developing responsible library patrons!
