RANCH VIEW SCHOOL

Ranch View Elementary School  is one of Naperville Community United School District #203's fourteen elementary schools.  We educate students from kindergarten through fifth grade.  Ranch View opened in 1985 and was built in a configuration that houses each grade level in a separate "pod" of the building.

We have programs to meet a variety of student needs.  In addition to our regular classroom programs we also offer the following:  special education, speech, special reading, project idea (for fourth and fifth grade gifted students), enrichment, accelerated math, band, orchestra, music, art and physical education.

Ranch View students are also offered a program in the LRC, the library resource center.  The LRC houses a book collection of nearly 10,000 titles.  Students are invited to checkout books weekly or as needed. Parent volunteers assist students by reading with students, helping in the classroom and operating our publishing center where student authors write and illustrate stories.

Ranch View's staff and students are supported by a very active  Home and School, and School Family Community Partnership organizations. We also participate in several business partnerships.

Together we provide programs which support our Mission Statement which is:

...to foster the growth and uniqueness of those in the school community for the betterment of the individual and society.  To actualize this mission, our focus will be the development of the whole child with regard to the physical, social and emotional, as well as intellectual, well-being.  We recognize our role to assist individuals to realize their potential.
