Naperville
North will be starting an Athletic Hall of Fame with its first class to be
inducted in early 2005. An individual must have been graduated from North for
at least 7 years to be eligible. This
is your Hall of Fame so we ask that you send nominations into the school. We
will then pass on those to the screening committee who then will narrow those
names down and forward onto the Board of Directors who will choose the
inductees. The first class will have
twenty members; the second class will have ten, then five every year after the
first two classes. North
has developed a very strong tradition in a relatively short amount of time so
it is only fitting to recognize those individuals who have helped establish
the foundation of HUSKIE PRIDE. Also
if anyone is interested in helping sponsor the Hall of Fame to help offset
the annual costs please contact me, If
you know of any worthy candidates please fill out the Hall of Fame ballot in
as much detail as possible. People can
qualify for nomination through six different categories: 1) State Champions - Individual and team State Champions
from any sport. Candidates shall
become eligible for induction seven (7) years after graduation. 2) 3) Outstanding Athletic Contributors -
Those athletes who do not fall in any of the other criteria, however
their contributions in multiple sports while at Naperville North High School
helped set the foundation and tradition we become accustomed to at Naperville
North. 4) 5) Outstanding Contributors - All men
and women who have made outstanding contributions to the athletic programs at
6) Academic - All men and women who earned varsity
athletic monograms during high school and were on the honor roll after eight
semesters, and brought honor and fame to Naperville North High School by
their outstanding post high school academic and/or professional careers. So please fill out the nomination form, this
Athletic Hall of Fame will only be as good as you the community of Naperville
North make it through your nominations.
