SHELBY, THE NNHS HUSKIE
Shelby the Huskie has been prowling the sidelines at NNHS
at our football games from 1993 – 2008.
She prowled the Soccer Sidelines from 1996-1999.
Shelby is a 16 year old female Huskie and
this year was her 15th Homecoming football game!
Kristy Shelby graduated from North in 1997,
her sister, Kelly, graduated from North in 1999.
When Shelby would get loose from her owners,
she always ran away to NNHS.
When the Leesleys came to North to see if she was here,
if the stadium gate had been left open,
she was found on the track inside the stadium,
just standing there in her usual spot
waiting for all the Huskie fans to join her!
In her younger days,
when the crowd cheered “Go Huskies,”
Shelby would howl with the crowd on command.
She always got the most excited when
the family would bring out her famous Huskie orange kerchief
and her leash because she new it was
HUSKIE TIME!!!!
