Symphonic Orchestra

Symphonic Orchestra is an advanced string ensemble for students who have achieved an advanced level of technique on violin, viola, cello or bass. Students should have a working knowledge of shifting in positions one through five, vibrato, and basic bow techniques of detach, martele and staccato. Music literature refines these techniques with a variety of musical styles. Students have the opportunity to perform in small group ensembles.
