Art Club is open to all students (freshman through seniors) who are passionate about art. The purpose of art club is to bring art into the school and the community. Art Club participates in painting murals around the school building. We have a face painting booth at the Homecoming Carnival. We also painted and sold "Huskie" ceramic flip flops and coffee mugs at the carnival. We also participate in the Homecoming door and window decoration contest. We paint a wood bench every year that goes on display at the Fox Run Square Shopping Center from June through August. In addition, we experiment with techniques in art making that are not taught in art course offerings at Naperville North. Lastly, we offer at least one field trip to an art museum around the Chicagoland area. Art Club sponsors are Miss Rust and Miss Gallagher. |
WEB ART CLUB
Web Art Club is open to all students (freshman through seniors) who have an interest in making art on the computer for both school and personal web pages. No prior knowledge is needed. The club meets in room 141 with sponsor Mrs. Seger and club president Vivian Chi. Students have designed such things as the senior video cover, NNHS chemistry logo and web page background. An official Web Art Club site is also in the works. Club meeting dates vary, but are usually posted on Mrs. Seger's door. Dates will also be in announcements. |
