About the club

The Aviation Club of NNHS will provide an opportunity for students with an interest in aviation to discuss/experience concepts and hands-on activities related to flight, navigation, weather, and the construction of a variety of model aircraft.  Activities may include:

 

Construction of model airplanes and the effect of changing or modifying components which will influence the ability of the airplane to fly

 

Instruction on the “basics” of flight and the forces which affect the ability of the airplane to fly

 

Discussion among students regarding the kinds of airplanes they have designed and demonstrations of their own aircraft’s flying characteristics

 

Field trips to Clow Airport (activities sponsored by Packer Engineering) with hands-on activities pertinent to flight (flight simulator) and demonstrations of aircraft engines and airflow.  A field trip to the Aircraft Museum which is on site will also be included.
