(Requires Acrobat Reader) Orchestra Night Permission Slip

Wow!  Where did the month of January go?  The Naper Orchestra students are enthusiastically preparing for their next round of concerts in March.

Next Concert:

Their first concert for 2004 will be for the Naper student body on Friday, March 19 at 1:30 p.m. in the Naper gymnasium.  Joining us for this concert will be the Naper Band.  Parents are always welcome to attend!

Followed by:

The second concert will be the annual Washington 4-8 Orchestra Night on Tuesday, March 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the Washington Junior High School Gym.  Featured that evening will be the Naper, Ellsworth, and Prairie Orchestras, plus the Washington Junior High Concert Strings, Symphonic Orchestra and Bluegrass Strings.  All of the students have been practicing very hard on their music, and they sound FANTASTIC!!  Parents, grandparents and friends are very much encouraged to attend.

Important Paperwork:

Parents, please be sure to ask your orchestra student for a concert information letter.  It includes a permission slip that needs to be returned as soon as possible.  The letter was sent home the week of February 9.  Click the link at the top of this page for a copy of this permission slip.

Kudos:

Congratulations are in order for five orchestra students that represented Naper School in the District 203 Honor Strings this year.  The students are:

Aaron B., Brian G., Jenny E., Laura E., Mika L.

All of these students performed with 5th grade orchestra students from the 14 elementary schools in District 203 at a wonderful concert featuring the District 203 Honor Strings and Honor Band.  The concert was held on Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at Naperville North High School Auditorium.  Attention, 4th Grade orchestra student;  keep up the fine practicing!  You will be able to audition for Honor Strings next year!!

Remember that regular practice is the key to success!!

Parents, the Naper Orchestra look forward to seeing you at our concerts in March.  Thanks for all of your outstanding support!

Musically,

Mrs. Laurie Pettit, Orchestra Teacher
