On early dismissal days, what time are the students dismissed?

            Kindergarten a.m.       8:15 - 9:55
            Kindergarten p.m.       9:55 - 11:35
            First - Fifth Gr.             8:15 - 11:35

 

What time can students arrive in the morning?

      We ask that students do not arrive before 8:00am as there is

           is no adult supervision.
          

What are the lunch/recess times for different grades?
     
First Lunch/recess           11:00 - 11:40    Grades 2 & 4
      Second  Lunch/recess     11:35 - 12:15    Grades 1 & 3

      Third  Lunch/recess         12:10 - 12:45    Grade 5

 

What is the hot lunch this week?

    Click on Calendar for the hot lunch schedule.

 

When do students have indoor and outdoor recess?

     Students will go outside for recess if the wind chill is above

        0 degrees Fahrenheit and if it is not raining.

 

How do I report student absences?
      Please call the absentee line at 420-3203 prior to 7:45 a.m. and

      include date, student's name, teacher's name and reason.

 

Can I bring treats for my child's birthday?
     
No food may be sent to school in honor of birthday celebrations .

      The child can be honored in a variety of ways, other than with the sharing of edible

      treats.   Recommended “treats” include: stickers, pencils, donation for an LRC book

      in your child’s name. Please contact classroom teacher with your intent prior to

      sending treats.

 

What is the procedure that I need to follow if I need to bring in items that my child has left at home?
      Bring the item directly to the school office, marked clearly with the

      student's name and teacher.

 

What is the best way to reach my child's teacher if I have questions?
      A phone call to school, E-mail or backpack note. Please always check with your

      teacher at the beginning of the school year as to which method of communication

      they prefer. (All teachers' E-mail addresses can be found in the Staff List.)

 

How do I become a volunteer?
    
 There are many opportunities via Meadow Glens Home and School and during

      Orientation to sign up to volunteer. Volunteer opportunities through Home &

      School can be found on the Home and School web page.
