NOTICE TO PARENTS: CLOSING OF SCHOOL AND/OR CHANGE IN BUS SERVICE

Naperville Community Unit School District 203 will use several radio stations to announce emergency school closings.  These will be your primary sources of information.  Through a centralized system, we also hope to have our closings on certain Chicago stations

WERV-FM (95.9), Naperville
WONU-FM (89.7), Naperville
WBIG-AM (1280), Naperville and 
1610-AM City of Naperville station.

WGN-TV [9] 
FOX-TV [32]
CLTV cable

We cannot guarantee the closings will be carried by the Chicago stations.

Information on emergency school closings will also be broadcast on the Talk203 interactive email system as well as on the School District web site www.ncusd203.org and www.emergencyclosings.com

We will attempt to have the information on the air no later than 6:30 a.m.

You may also call 420-6300 (Administrative Center) for a telephone message concerning school closings.

In cases of bad weather or dangerous road conditions, school closings or early dismissals will be:

School District 203 uses the following radio and television stations to inform parents of such closings as quickly and in as wide an area as possible:

Other stations also regularly broadcast school closings, and several of these stations are covered by computerized notification systems. Please be aware that while closing information is given to the stations as quickly as possible, it is at the discretion of each station to decide when and whether it airs the notifications.
 
A recorded message advising of school closings or early dismissals can be heard by dialing the District 203 Information Line at 420-6300.
