The Falcon’s Team Philosophy

The Falcons support the Mission Statement developed by District 203, which states, “Our mission is to educate students to be self-directed learners, collaborating workers, complex thinkers, quality producers and community contributors."

Academic Grading Scale

The Falcon Team core teachers use the following scale to determine a student’s academic standing:

A = 100% - 90%      B = 89% - 80%     C = 79% - 70%      D = 69% - 60%     F = 59% or below

Behavior Expectations

Good behavior and cooperation are essential for a good teaching and learning environment.  The Falcon Team teachers have developed this brief list of rules that applies to all students of the team:

These are our expectations of every student:

  1. Be in class when the bell rings with a pencil, pen, notebook paper, and textbook for the class.
  2. Promote honesty by doing his/her own schoolwork on assignments and tests.
  3. Use common courtesy by paying attention when others are talking.

    4.   Refrain from disruptive, dangerous, or destructive behavior.

  1. Follow all established rules and policies of Lincoln Junior High School and Naperville School District 203.

Homework Policy

Homework is an important responsibility for students on the Falcon Team.  When homework is not completed, in class on time or in unacceptable condition, the student must attend morning detention the following morning at 7:15 am, with the completed assignment and a signed note from a parent to obtain full credit for that assignment. This is the only way to receive full credit for that assignment.
