Lancer PRIDE continues to be promoted on a daily basis throughout Lincoln.  Each of the themes are highlighted for six weeks at a time.  Respect and responsibility was promoted in September and October.  Beginning in November and going through December, we are highlighting positive attitude.  We will begin 2002 focusing on the theme of integrity.  The school is using the following four strategies to promote PRIDE:

The Lancer PRIDE program focuses on the following character traits:
Positive Attitude:  Choose a positive attitude, focusing on what's good, right and wonderful in others and yourself.  Learn to be happy with who you are.  Be grateful for your blessing:  food, age, clothing, your health, education, country, living in Naperville, family and friends.  Be grateful to be alive.
Respect and Responsibility:  Choose to take responsibility for your thoughts, words, deeds, choices and actions.  Take responsibility for achieving your goals.  Take responsibility for your own happiness, for raising your self-esteem.  Notice your mistakes and learn from them.
Integrity:  Choose to be honest with yourself and the world around you.  Integrate your principles into your daily life.  When you choose integrity, you make sound and healthy choices.  Feel good about yourself and stand and be proud.
Diligence:  Chose to do your best each day.  When you're willing to work hard.  Learn well and do your personal best.  You win self-respect and self esteem.
Empathy and Encouragement:  Choose to encourage others in school and throughout the world.  Choose to contribute to the world around you by looking for ways to encourage others, including family, friends, Lincoln Lancers and the Naperville community.
