Mr. Meehan has been teaching at Kennedy Junior High since 1999 when he joined the Crazy Eights.  He is excited to be a part of the News team.  Mr. Meehan earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University and a Masters of Education degree in 2004 from Olivet Nazarene University.  He has been teaching since 1990, having previously taught language arts and social studies in Bolingbrook and Plainfield.  An avid reader of books by Zig Ziglar and Napoleon Hill, Mr. Meehan brings a goal setting unit into his social studies classes.  Mr.  Meehan fulfilled his life-long dream of going to a World Series game on the South Side of Chicago and seeing his beloved White Sox win the World Series (before the Cubs).  Mr. Meehan lives with his wife Peggy and their three dogs, Sammie, Trixie, Tully and Lily.
