WORK CHECK GRADES:
Assignments receiving work check grades receive ten points. Work check
grades are given for most daily homework assignments and in-class
activities. Work checks are scored on completeness and being done according
to direction. Accuracy of answers can be, but is not always, a measure. A
student must, however, always complete work to the best of his/her ability
and with reasonable measure of accuracy. Sometimes work check grades
include the level at which accurate corrections have been made. If a
student completes his/her assignments on time and according to directions
and if he/she accurately corrects them, it is easy to get a high work check
score. Work check assignments are not accepted late for credit. Students
will receive a separate work check chart on which to record their work check
grades.
Work check grades are entered at the completion of ten assignments and
are averaged together to comprise 25% of the mid-term or trimester grade.
During the second and third trimester, work check grades will comprise 15%
of the students’ grade, and reading will comprise 10% of the students’
grade.
How to Get a Work Check grade:

2. Work must be turned in on the day it is due.

(written/verbal).
