"Education...the final frontier....These are the voyages of the Infinity Team....To explore exciting  new concepts...to seek out new knowledge and new information...to boldly go where no team has gone before."

Expectations: All students must come to class prepared each day. The term "prepared" extends beyond merely bringing the correct items to class. Indeed, "prepared" is a state of mind; therefore, students must enter class rested and mentally focused on the tasks at hand. Students must begin to learn how they learn and must realize that they are the ones ultimately responsible for their own learning. Learning is an active, not passive, process. As students begin to accept accountability for their actions, they can begin to experience the feeling of success and accomplishment that result from the independent achievement. Think of this as an extension of the, "Look Mom, no hands!" excitement a child feels as he or she begins to master riding a bicycle. Yes, it is nerve-racking for parents, but children must learn to risk, fail, overcome, and succeed in a safe environment to ultimately achieve independence.
