Grading:
Grading is based on tests, quizzes, projects, and homework. We do a variety of different activities including dramas, speeches, debates, research projects and simulations. They also will be learning good note-taking skills and how to work cooperatively in groups.
Homework:
My homework policy is the same as the Heroes team policy.
Instead of collecting homework every day I collect homework packets at the end of each unit. Every day I check the homework assignment from the night before by stamping it to show that it has been completed on time. THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT I HAVE GRADED IT. They are responsible for keeping those stamped assignments in their social studies binder until I collect the homework packet at the end of the unit. They will then receive one grade for all of their homework completed for that unit.
