Grading
Students will be given credit for all assignments completed during the year.
Tests and quizzes will count for 50% of their grade and all assignments will
count for 50% of the grade. If students miss or do not complete their work on
time they still must complete the work prior to handing in a unit journal. The
unit journals are a huge part of the homework grade and need to be reviewed
prior to handing this journal to your child's teacher.

Keys to Success
My experience has shown that students that are successful in my class are the
students that keep a well organized journal, complete their work on time and
listen in class. Students are able to use all notes for tests and therefore
each student is responsible for following up on work missed. The journals are a
major key to all work in science and therefore these need to be kept up to date,
complete, organized, and neat. All other work will follow from the journals.
