Mrs. Charlotte Bunce

Born and raised in Joliet, Illinois, everyone is surprised when I tell them how my parents came here from Hawaii for a 6 month honeymoon/educational seminar and ended up staying in the Midwest, (over 55 years now).  My Masters in Education is from Northern Illinois University.  I have worked with all ages   in my 32 years of teaching.  I was an adjunct teacher for 6.5 years at Joliet Junior College because I wanted to be home with my two children, Katie and Alex.   I have also done presentations and taught   classes for the Field Museum for the last 19 years and have been invited to teach classes at the Chicago Children’s Museum, Shedd Aquarium, Lincoln Park Zoo and the Museum of Science and Industry. I love to travel and have been to all states except Alaska and have visited Europe several times.  Other favorite activities are going to the theater, for plays, concerts and movies, baking, gardening, reading, biking, x-country skiing, yoga and hula.
