The Kennedy Junior High Technology Committee is focused on expanding the use of technology in the learning process.
In the past, the Tech Committee has carried out
surveys, developed
a strategic plan for modernization of computing at Kennedy, held Tech
Nights for parents and students, initiated the Back Pack Syndrome
committee, sought Grants and partnership opportunities for Kennedy
Junior High, advised on technology requirements for Louise Huffman's
Antarctica trip, organized a student group of developing webmasters,
and redesigned the Kennedy web site to make it more useful and more
attractive.
In the 2004-2005 school year, the Tech
Committee continued improving the school web site and documented the "Care and Feeding of the Kennedy Website", to simplify future maintenance of the website. The Committee also co-hosted a
Technology Tour for Kennedy parents with the SFCP, developed an
animated Eagle logo for Kennedy, provided guidance to the District
203 Website Redesign project, and lead a teachers institute session on
using technology in teaching science.
Meetings are generally held once a month, at Kennedy Junior High.
