The Highlands School, Family, Community Partnership Team (SFCP) sponsors the Parent Resource Center (PRC). Located just inside the main door of the lobby, the PRC is your one source for information regarding Highlands School activities and events, District 203 information and parenting information.
The literature spinner houses all the current bulletins pertaining to Highlands School, District 203, Home & School, SFCP, sports activities, and community activities. The bulletin board will keep you informed of upcoming activities at Highlands and information that may be beneficial to your family.
The parent library contains books, videos, CD’s, and pamphlets focusing on child development, literacy, mathematics and parenting issues. An honor checkout system is in place with easy step-by-step instructions. Material from the parent library may also be checked out by completing the order form below and returning the form to school with your child. Your child’s teacher will forward the form to the Library Resource Center (LRC). The LRC staff will pull your request and check it out to you using the honor checkout system. The material will be delivered to your child for him/her to take home. Materials can be returned to the school with your child or by you coming in and following the easy book return instructions. We hope this form makes it easier for all parents to take advantage of the resources that are offered. The pamphlets are free for the taking, and the books, videos, and CD’s may be checked out for a two week period by parents, teachers and other family members. A basket is available for ongoing donations of parenting books and videos.
Materials available at the PRC do not represent an endorsement of any kind by the SFCP team, Highlands Staff or District 203.
