Multiplication Clusters

A cluster is a smaller multiplication problem or fact that can be put together with another multiplication fact.  This will create or prove a product to a bigger problem.

EXAMPLE:  23 X 5=

I know that 23 can be split up into 20 + 3.  I can take two clusters to prove this product. (20 X 5=100) + (3 X 5=15).  100 + 15 =115, so 23 x 5 equals 115.

DIRECTIONS:  Create a cluster to get or prove the product of each multiplication problem.  FOR EXTRA CREDIT: Create two different clusters for the problem.
