About Elmwood School

| Elmwood School was built in 1960 in the West Highlands area
of Naperville. An addition was completed in 1965 which transformed the
existing building into a four-section school designed for approximately 650 students.
The Elmwood Parent Community and the parents of this community have high
expectations for the education of their children and place a high priority
on involvement.
Elmwood School is a center for a number of district programs which include eight sections of the district early childhood program. Transportation is provided for students enrolled in these programs. While the majority of the students attending Elmwood School live within walking distance, approximately 25% of our student ride to school on buses. Elmwood students continue their education at Lincoln Junior High School and Naperville Central High School. A statistical description of the Elmwood School students is available from the data collected in the 2006-2007 Public School Fall Housing Report and the 2007 Illinois School Report Card. The 2008 Illinois School Report Card is not yet available. The statistical description of Elmwood School does not show any significant difference when compared to the total district demographic profile. Information about this is also available.
