The mallard ducks have been seen at Elmwood since
Mar.19th. The school has been looking forward to a new brood of ducklings.
On April 2nd a nest with nine eggs was discovered in the courtyard. Be sure to read the sign in the hallway.

| The mother duck built her nest in a corner of the courtyard.
Mrs. Schaden has again adopted the ducks and makes sure they have water
and cracked corn.

| They have hatched! On Monday, April 30, we discovered that all eleven eggs had hatched. There were shells by the nest. That was a big clue! |

Ducks are Released
The ducks were coaxed through the hallway by Mr. Yackley. |
