You can be loyal to your family, friends, the United States, or an idea that
you have.
Why is it important to be loyal?
It is important to be loyal because then others know that they can
count on you in any situation. Disloyal people can not be counted on
because if the "going gets tough", disloyal people run away from the problem.
By being loyal, you build friendships because people know they can count
on you.
How do I demonstrate being loyal?
You demonstrate loyalty by making a promise and then sticking
with your promise. If you tell your little brother that you will help him read
his book before bed, you show you are loyal to him by helping him read his book
that night. If you decide not to help him, then he might not want to count
on you the next time you make a promise!
