Judge Knoch had a long and distinguished career serving as DuPage county's first regularly appointed Assistant State's Attorney, as attorney for the DuPage County Board of Supervisors and the Forest Preserve Commission of DuPage County. He was elected to three four-year terms as DuPage County Judge, to three six-year terms as Circuit Court Judge of the 16th Judicial Circuit of Illinois, and was appointed by President Dwight D. Eisenhower to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in August, 1958. Following eight years in the State's Attorney's office Judge Knoch served Naperville and DuPage County for over 50 years in various courts. There are countless community, charitable, educational, and religious organizations and projects in which Judge Knoch provided leadership and energy. Naperville Central is proud to call Judge Win Knoch, one of DuPage County's leading twentieth century citizens, one of their own.
