So, you want to find a book!

If the particular title you want is checked out OR not in our school library, you can:

put a HOLD on the checked out item.  It will then be kept for you (seven days) after it is returned.  (Your barcode is on your ID card; your password is your last name) RESERVE a book (for seven days) that is in the library?  Click on RESERVE, enter your full barcode from your student id and then use your last name as your password.  No one will be able to check it out except you! request an INTERLIBRARY LOAN if your title is checked out or just not in the library!

Don't be shy!  The library staff is always available to help you find what you want or need!  After all, that is their job!

2. When you don't know what you want...

   

   	Novelist  [Get the password from the LRC password sheet.]
   	"Best Books"  [reading lists from the American Library Association]
   	Allreaders.com [a source for reviews of current books written by the readers]
   	Teenreads.com  [another source of book info written by the readers]
   	The Librarian  [This person is available to give you personal assistance!]

3. When you need information ABOUT books, authors, etc....

   

   	Author Web pages  [Links to authors' webpages - official and personal.]
   	Contemporary Literary Criticism  [Password needed; analysis, evaluation, information on books & authors - link here is for @ school access.]
   	Discussion Guides  [provides book summaries, discussion questions, and info about authors]
