This laboratory course will concentrate on current major themes in biology including cell, plant, and animal physiology; photosynthesis and respiration; and genetic engineering. The advanced placement biology curriculum is equivalent to a first-year college biology course for majors and is designed to prepare students for a successful college experience in the life sciences. This course allows students to take the advanced placement exams, which allows students to earn up to one year of college credit.
Level: 11, 12 Semesters: 2 Credit: 1 (weighted)
Prerequisites: Enriched Chemistry or Chemistry and Enriched Molecular Biology or Ecological Biology.
Lab fee required.
