Course Advanced Physics

Advanced Physics (AP Physics – B)
314551 (2nd semester only)
A three- semester Physics sequence that may be taken concurrently with Enriched Physics.  This second semester course includes further study in electromagnetism and the following new topics: fluid, heat, thermodynamics, relativity, quantum mechanics, semiconductors, and elementary particles.  This course is recommended for students considering a career in science or medicine.  This sequence will prepare students for the Advanced Placement Physics -B test, in which students may earn up to one year of college credit.

Prerequisites/ Co-requisites:  Enriched Physics and Pre- Calculus with Trigonometry or department recommendation
