Grading Scale

Tests, quizzes, and/or special projects will be worth approximately 90% of the students’ quarter grade and homework and/or other in-class activities will be worth approximately 10%. Letter grades will be assigned as follows:

90-100%........................A
80-89%..........................B
70-79%..........................C
60-69%..........................D
Below 60%....................F

Final Exam is worth 20% of the semester grade.  In an effort to encourage all students to take the AP Exam (offered in early May), any student who has earned an "A" for the course entering the second semester final exam will be exempt from the final if the student has taken the AP Exam.  If the student's course grade entering the second semester final exam is below and "A", the student will receive a 10% grade adjustment (not to exceed 100%) on the final exam if the student has taken the AP Exam.

Academic Honesty

It is expected that all the materials submitted for this course are the actual work of the individual whose name appears on the materials. Violations of academic honesty include but are not limited to cheating, plagiarism, and receiving help on a test. A student found guilty of academic dishonesty is subject to failure for the assignment in question or failure of the course.
