In the "Bees" unit, students will be studying area, surface area, and volume of polygons and polyhedrons.  In this process, students will answer the question, "Do Bees Build It Best?"  That is, are bee hives the best shape to hold the most amount of honey (volume) with the least amount of wax (surface area)?
