Advanced
Algebra
I
love this stuff and hope Advanced Algebra will soon be one of your favorite
classes!
Materials:
Collaboration vs. Copying:
Collaboration on homework is encouraged. Copying
is forbidden. If another student examines your work, they must return it before
they write anything down. Calculators may NOT be shared.
Grading:
Your grade will be determined by dividing the
total number of points you earn on homework, quizzes, tests, projects and
participation by the number of possible points. You should keep a record of all
of your grades so you know where you stand at all times.
Your grade will be based on a 90, 80, 70, 60 percent scale. Approximately
75% of your grade is from tests, quizzes and/or special projects. Homework
and/or other in class activities will be worth about 25%.
Tardiness and Absence:
Students will be
considered tardy if they are not in their seats when the bell rings. Regular
attendance is expected. If you are absent, make-up quizzes and tests will be
given on the day you return.
Extra
Help:
I
truly want to see you succeed, and if you put forth an honest effort, I am more
than happy to help you. I encourage you to talk with me about any questions or
concerns you may have. I am available before school and
by appointment periods 2 and 6 and after school.
