INFORMATION:

Extra Help:                            If you have questions or concerns that you would like to address with me outside of class, or need any extra help, I am available before and after school.  Do not wait until you are a day/week behind before you ask for help.

Tests and Quizzes:               We will typically have one or two quizzes per chapter, ending each chapter with a test.  Most chapter tests will be made up of two portions- a calculator portion and a non-calculator portion.

Homework:                             Homework is an essential part of the learning process and, as such, will be assigned most days.  Each homework assignment will be worth 4 points.  Homework assignments will either be checked or collected at the beginning of each class period.  Home work points will be awarded accuracy, then completion.  Late homework WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED, NO EXCEPTIONS!!

Participation:                         Class participation is expected on a daily basis.  It is important that we all share our questions and ideas as we continue to strive to become more complex thinkers.  Treat others in this class the way you would like to be treated!

Tardiness, Absences:            Tardiness, attendance, and discipline policies spelled out in your student handbooks will be strictly enforced.  Each class will begin promptly when the bell rings.  I expect students to be in their seats and ready to begin at that time.  Students will be given 2 “warnings” before detentions are assigned.  After the 5th tardy, referrals will be written.

Make-up Work:                     If you are absent from class, you are responsible for finding out what you missed.  If you are absent on the day of a quiz or test, you will be expected to take the quiz or test on the day that you return to class.  CHECK THE WEBSITE FOR MISSING INFORMATION.

Honesty/Integrity:              You are the only person who knows if your final grade is an accurate depiction of what you accomplished.  Be proud of what you accomplish.
