Parenting

Parenting, prenatal care, and infancy.

Three week mini lab for three year olds.

1/2 credit per semester, grades 9 and 10.

Career opportunities: Preschool teacher or aide, elementary teacher or aide.

 

 

Foods And Nutrition 1

Nutrition basics.

Culinary techniques.

½ credit per semester, grade 9 - 12.

Career opportunities: Dietary aide, cake decorator, food server, waitress/waiter, host/hostess, food tray assembler.

 

Foods And Nutrition 2

 

Advanced nutrition education.

Culinary techniques.

½ credit per semester, grades 9 - 12.

Career opportunities: Caterer, cook, chef, food and beverage server, gourmet food store operator.

 

All of the courses in this department fulfill the graduation requirements for applied science and technology.
