National Journalism Convention What it is: The Journalism Education Association and the National Scholastic Press Association host an annual fall journalism convention. During the convention students will take a variety of classes that will enhance their journalism skills, provide them with resources and contacts from around the country and introduce them to many influential journalists in college and professional arenas. All students who are involved in publications (newspaper and yearbook) are invited to attend. In addition, both newspaper sponsors (Mrs. Kane and Miss Watts) and yearbook sponsor (Mrs. Weiss) will attend as faculty chaperones. Where: Philadelphia, PA How to Register: A check for the hotel made out to The Central Times (for newspaper students) or Flight (for yearbook students) will secure you a spot.
