INTRODUCTION TO GRAPHIC COMMUNICATIONS

This one semester course is an introduction to the field of Graphic Arts. The students will be introduced to learning experiences in the areas of: silkscreen printing, layout and design, letterpress printing, and binding and finishing procedures. Photoshop and Pagemaker software are utilized. Project oriented learning experiences in the various units are supplemented with textbook assignments, instruction and procedure sheets, and applied math concepts. Fulfills graduation requirement in fine arts. This course receives articulated credit at College of DuPage. See instructor or counselor for information.
