SUMMER HORTICULTURE OPERATIONS

This course will provide both the advanced and beginning horticulture students
the opportunity for unique hands-on experiences not offered during the regular
school year. Included in this course are experiences in summer greenhouse
operations, summer landscaping practices and turf management, woody plant care,
and plant propagation. The student must complete a minimum of 65 hours of
in-class work experiences and a minimum of 15 hours of individual research
report or project. The student’s work will be evaluated and a grade issued. The
students may repeat the course with each grade being recorded on the transcript,
as long as each summer experience is different.
