Three Naperville Central High School students were awarded letter jackets and another won a Chicago Blackhawks T-shirt for accumulating the most minutes toward their target heart rate in adapted physical education class.

Students with blindness, hearing impairment, cerebral palsy and Down syndrome wear heart-rate monitors one day a week to help them determine if they are exercising appropriately.

The highest total achieved by any student was 200 minutes.

Winners included John L., Brian B., Pat S. and Jim P.  Other students received medals, ribbons, magnets and trophies.
