The team listed first will be designated the home team and should wear white uniforms. The team listed second will be designated the visiting team and should wear dark uniforms.
All games played on April 20, 22, 28 that are tied at the end of regulation will go immediately to shoot-out (regulations for the IHSA State series will apply). The tie is the official result of the contest; the shoot-out will be used for tournament advancement purposes. All games on April 29, other than the championship game, will be official if the game is tied at the end of regulation. If the championship game is tied at the end of regulation, there will be, at most, two 10 minute sudden victory periods before the shoot-out.
After the first weekend, teams will be assigned a site based on their performance in group play. For example, all of the teams finishing first in group play will play at one site on the weekend of April 28-29.
2. Head to head competion
*In case of a three way tie*
1. 1 point for goal differential (only involving the tied teams), with a maximum of 3 per game.
3. If #1 and #2 fail to break the tie,
then either the earliest goal or the latest goal scored, in games involving
the tied teams ( to be determined by draw of the tournament directors).
Site assignments and game times will be available on Sunday, April 23 by 12:00 pm. To access this information, dial (630) 420-6966 ext. 4551. A printed version of the information will be faxed to the competing schools by Monday, April 24.
