Naperville Wrestling Club
Spring and Summer
Freestyle and Greco-Roman Division
Who: All participants interested in wrestling are invited from any
age or grade (from 1st grade on, including post high school). Participants are encouraged to bring a
workout partner. Participants are asked
to dress in a T-shirt, shorts, wrestling shoes, and a head gear.
What: This USA Chartered Club will meet 2 times per week at Naperville Central High School.
Coaches Naperville Central will instruct but
clinicians will be invited whenever possible.
When: Please see schedule on reverse side. Generally, practice schedules are subject to
change based on availability of wrestling room and coaches. Workouts will be from 5:30 – 6:45pm every Tuesday and Thursday on days when
Dist. 203 School is in session.
Competitions are held on Friday’s and Saturdays throughout the spring at
various locations. Typically the cost of
a tournament is $10 - $15 plus a USA Wrestling card. The club does not provide transportation to
tournaments, but coaching will be possible based on availability. Tournament schedules will be posted at www.napervillewrestling.com.
Naperville
Wrestling Club will host an event at Naperville Central High School field house, tentatively scheduled March
28th (Greco-Roman) and March 29th (Freestyle).
Costs: USA Wrestling Card (for participation and
insurance).
Objective:
Participants are encouraged to compete at 5 spring tournaments, 4 local
developmental and 1 out of town. The
major goal is for competitors to qualify and compete at the state Freestyle
tournament (in Champaign) and state Greco (in Chicago area – possibility Oak Park River Forest High School).
Elite wrestlers should attempt to compete at the national level.
