II. EQUIPMENT:

Wrestlers will be issued equipment throughout the year. You will be responsible for cleaning them and returning them undamaged. They include:

Warm-Up Top

Warm-Up Bottom

Singlet

Headgear – will be provided to wrestlers who do not have their own headgear. Headgear is required for all practices and competitions.

Shoes – wrestling shoes are not provided but are required for practices and competitions. Please see a coach for a catalog if needed.

T-shirt and Shorts are required for all practices. Jeans are not allowed for practices. Sweatshirts and Sweatpants are discouraged for practices. Please come to practice with clean workout gear daily.

III. PIN PALS:

There are many responsibilities that the Pin Pals are in charge of. The girls will be working hard for us to make the season smoother. Their responsibilities include:

· Video taping

· Record keeping

· Table help for duals and tournaments

· Scrap book organization

· Others

Please don't ignore the work that these girls do. They work very hard and deserve your respect. We could not be a successful wrestling team without their help.

IV. CAPTAINS

Two or three team captains will be voted on by the team in the first two weeks of practice. The captains will have many responsibilities:

· Captains will be expected to lead by example. They should dress properly, refrain from swearing, be polite at all times, and have exceptional sportsmanship skills. In other words, captains should apply positive peer pressure.

· Captains will be the link between the team and the coaches. The captains will be expected to communicate with the coaches if they feel something should be discussed.

Captains will lead the team. They will be expected to motivate the team whenever necessary. They will often lead the team in drills and conditioning, warm-ups and on the bench during duals.
