This is an athlete who as shown exceptional efforts, beat overwhelming odds, or demonstrated great dedication to his team.  One guy pushes harder and his teammate who is about to get passed during a cool fall day at Lincoln Park decides NOT to get passed.  Then they push the guys in front of them and pulls the guys on their tail.  Everyone benefits from his hard work!

It may seem as if the small things you do in practice or meets go unnoticed, but it is the small things that makes Doug Straka a great teammate.  He continues to be very unselfish and supportive of the guys.
