It is never too early
to begin to think about entering high school.
Classes
begin in late August, but the process of preparing
to
be a "Redhawk"
athlete begins much sooner. As an
eighth
grader
you should do a few things at the high school................
-
attend
Freshman orientation with your parents in January
-
go to
a few athletic games with your friends
-
get acquainted
with the school by walking around the building
-
find the
main office and the athletic office
-
ask someone
you already know in high school what it's really like
As the summer between your 8th grade and freshman
year
approaches, be sure to plan to attend at least one athletic
summer
camp. NCHS offers camps in all sports, so you can improve your skills in
each sport you play. As an incoming freshman, you will benefit greatly
from attending one of these camps through meeting future teammates and
coaches. Registration for all NCHS summer camps can be done through the
Naperville Park District.
In April of your 8th grade year look for the annual issue of The
Redhawk News to arrive in the mail at
home. This newsletter will tell you and your parents where and when all
the camps will be, what to do to register for Fall sports, plus what sports
are available to you.
If you have further questions please call the Athletic Office
at 420-6444.
